Job Summary:
The Benefits Analyst is an analytical role and will provide extensive reporting and analysis to support the investment into the company’s benefit program offerings. This position requires a high degree of organization and internal and external collaboration as well as strong analytical skills and capabilities. The Benefit Analyst works closely with the Benefit Operations team to execute the strategies and deliverables.
The Benefits Analyst will be part of a team and will support multiple areas in the benefits function and may vary based on line benefit programs. The Analyst may support areas, including but not limited to, health & welfare programs, leave, wellness, recognition, retirement and/or annual programs.
This position will be responsible for establishing sound processes as it relates to data integrity, cleansing and auditing and ensure the quality and accuracy of data by creating automated data integrity audits. The Benefits Analyst will support and may lead program implementations

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyzes the ROI of benefits and programs to align with the business and and provide findings to Benefits management
Identify, assess, and define areas that contain potential data gaps and create a path to mitigate risk.
Lead the implementation of technology tools to support our benefit initiatives in partnership with IT and HRIS team
Monitor and review data feeds, files to ensure accuracy
Lead integration projects related to benefit programs
Support compliance initiatives with all benefit plan legislation by maintaining knowledge and understanding of ERISA, IRS regulations, the Affordable Care Act, and other Federal, State, and Local related legislation
Participate in total rewards and annual planning projects, which may include annual programs, design of new and/or revised rewards programs, guidelines, and policies, and will involve collaboration with other HR colleagues
Assess manual processes within the Benefits function and identify opportunities to automate or streamline work.
Operationalizes complex legal guidance and analyzes competitive market data for a benefits program
Understand regulatory and provincial regulations and plan design components.
Support the communication of a total rewards culture by collaborating closely with stakeholders and key business leaders. .
Able to interact and collaborate with HR COEs and build a network within the organization to collect data and information to support benefit programs.

Required Experience:
3+ years of professional experience in the Benefits Field with a focus on H&W
Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of ERISA, ACA and Canadian Regulatory requirements
Experience working with various Health & Welfare programs including 401k and Leave Administration
SHRM-CP/PHR or CEBS certification preferred
Required Leadership Traits and Characteristics:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong understanding of benefit components and legal requirements
Ability to interact and direct vendors and their services
Ability to influence with data
Demonstrable people management skills and the ability to lead a diverse team
Strong communication skills
Good change management skills
Formal Education, Qualifications or Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related fields, Master’s degree preferred. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree 4 years in a progressive benefits role
3 years in a benefits role with progressive responsibility
CEBS certification a plus
Experience in the implementation, and administration of various types of benefit programs including health & welfare, and wellness.
Ability to present detailed concepts and market considerations in an approachable way
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
Experience in M&A projects, and/or integration projects is a plus
Demonstrable working knowledge of health & welfare concepts, laws and regulations, and human resources systems and reporting tools
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google applications, Workday experience preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills

- Close visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.
Incumbent will be subject to:
- Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis. No sponsorship is available now or in the future for this position.
Base Pay Range $57,000 - $73,000/ year
While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
