To be fully transparent, I was just looking for another opportunity, because I felt I had hit the ceiling in my role at the time. Now, here I am 11 years later. What has gotten me to stay is the challenge. What has kept me grounded is the change. What I love about Rentokil Terminix is the opportunity and flexibility for me to give back to the community where I live and work, while still meeting and exceeding my deliverables at work.

Not answering the question that was asked. Listen with the intent to provide a detailed answer that will tell the interviewer the situation/task, your action and then the result.

I find candidates saying they are a strong communicator and a people person without giving details or examples demonstrating their strong communication skills. Saying you are a people person is generic and highly used in interviews. Think of examples that show how your people skills helped you to be successful or how you show up/interact in your day to day with your colleagues/peers and customers.

Arrive prepared 5-7 minutes early to the interview, whether in-person or virtual. Depending on the role, dress in business casual and have a resume in hand or ready to email if virtual. Research the company. Ask questions that are relevant to the job, always ask for next steps in the process toward the end, and ask for a business card or email to send a thank you note.
