Valuable advice to our next group of interns

Every position offers a chance to build meaningful relationships. Katherine, a Supervisor on our Talent Acquisition team, uses her relationship-focused leadership style to guide and motivate her team and also had the opportunity to welcome an intern last summer. We recently asked her a few questions about her experience hosting an intern. Check out her spotlight, where she emphasizes the importance of building relationships.

The most rewarding aspect of hosting an intern on our South TA team was witnessing her mature in her role and thrive over the course of the three months. Between building relationships with colleagues, managers, job-seekers and leadership along with meeting KPIs, I was able to watch Chloe transition from an ‘intern’ to a true Talent Acquisition professional.

Make as many connections as you can, and have fun! The most enduring part of our work is that building relationships is at the core of what we do. Use it as an opportunity to build friendships you wouldn’t encounter in your daily life and get to know an array of people with different backgrounds.

We work with an incredibly diverse group of people, and we have a wonderful culture. Our culture is definitely something that is hard to find in the professional world, so I encourage anyone interested in Rentokil Terminix as an intern to come see what that is like before they embark on their career journeys.
