Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Technical Domain Architect to spearhead the technical vision and architecture for our AWS-based proprietary OnBrand360 applications and Salesforce Field Service solutions. This pivotal role demands significant practical experience in both environments, going beyond theoretical design to contribute to implementation. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in REST API’s, AWS services and a strong track record in configuring, customizing, and integrating Salesforce Field Service. You will be responsible for designing scalable and secure solutions, ensuring seamless integration between platforms, and providing technical leadership to development teams. Key Performance Indicators 

  • Successful deployment of Salesforce Field Service solutions (MUST HAVE) and integrations with Ruby-on-Rails backend services (AWS), Microsoft dynamics (GP and NAV,) and JDX.
  • Optimization of Salesforce Field Service and proprietary application processes through technology.
  • Alignment of Salesforce Field Service solutions and custom solutions with enterprise architecture using cloud technologies like AWS, Heroku and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Adoption of best practices in Salesforce FSL, Ruby/Rails, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, Rest API development and cloud deployment on AWS. 
  • Contribution to improving architectural practices for Salesforce FSL, Ruby/Rails, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and cloud technologies (AWS).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the target architecture for our applications within the AWS ecosystem, OnBrand360, and Salesforce Field Service platforms. Must have hands-on experience.

  • Participate in the detailed design, configuration, and even some development tasks within both Ruby-on-Rails and Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL). 

  • Design and build high-performance, reusable, and reliable code using specific programming languages like Salesforce Apex, Ruby, Javascript, Salesforce LWC

  • Leverage deep understanding of REST API’s, Web frameworks, AWS services to design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions. 

  • Possess significant hands-on experience with Salesforce Field Service configuration, customization, scheduling optimization, and integration with other systems. 

  • Design and implement seamless integrations between Ruby-on-Rails (AWS) based applications and Salesforce Field Service, ensuring data integrity and efficient workflows. 

  • Ensure architectural designs adhere to security best practices and relevant compliance standards within both AWS and Salesforce environments. 

  • Identify and implement strategies for performance tuning and optimization across the application landscape. 

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, fostering best practices and knowledge sharing. 

  • Conduct code reviews and configurations focusing on languages/platforms used (Apex, Ruby/Rails, ReactJS, Javascript, Salesforce FSL configs and ensuring adherence to best practices)

  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues that span across AWS and Salesforce Field Service environments. 

  • Create and maintain clear and concise architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation guides. 

  • Evaluate new technologies and services within AWS, OnBrand360 and the Salesforce ecosystem to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. 

  • Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and development teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

CANDIDATE SUMMARY

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Significant hands-on experience (5+ years) building and deploying applications on AWS or GCP/Azure.

  • Deep and demonstrable hands-on experience (3+ years) with Salesforce Field Service configuration, customization, and implementation.This includes a strong understanding of its core features, scheduling engine, and integration capabilities. 

  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable and resilient architectures in AWS and Salesforce. 

  • Strong understanding of integration patterns and technologies relevant to connecting AWS and Salesforce (e.g., REST APIs, SOAP APIs, middleware). 

  • Practical experience with programming languages such as Java or .Net

  • Familiarity with the Ruby-on-Rails framework is a significant plus

 

Required Leadership Traits and Characteristics

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field,

  • Master’s degree is a plus

  • 5-7 years of experience in Information Technology or an architectural role or an equivalent combination of education and experience required

Base Pay Range $102,000 - $132,000+ / year

While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
